Bringing The Pro-Kids Show Back to District 301
Years ago, several schools in Central Unit School District 301 brought in The Pro-Kids Show, and the response was the same everywhere it went: packed gyms, enthusiastic crowds, and invitations to come back again.
Now, Assistant Principal Tim Shermak, who has personally booked The Pro-Kids Show again and again throughout his career, has joined Prairie View in District 301. He’d love to see that same excitement return, not just at Prairie View, but across the district.
District 301’s History With The Pro-Kids Show
Between 2014 and 2016, Country Trails, Prairie View, and Lily Lake each brought Tim in for assemblies and Family Night shows, with packed gyms, enthusiastic crowds, and school leadership cheering it on right alongside the students.
A Proven Model, Ready to Repeat
In Wood Dale, Illinois, Tim Shermak led Oakbrook while a fellow principal led Westview, and the two schools teamed up to bring The Pro-Kids Show in together: one school hosting a daytime assembly in the morning, the other in the afternoon, followed by a joint Family Night that evening at Wood Dale Junior High for both communities.
It worked so well that Oakbrook alone has had Tim back seven times, three of them while Shermak was there, with an eighth visit already booked for January 2027 using that same two-school model.
That’s the exact format District 301 schools could use together today.
A Format That Fits Your School
- A standalone daytime assembly, 45 minutes, with no evening commitment required
- A school’s own evening Family Night show, paired with the daytime assembly
- A joint Family Night, with two or more schools combining at a shared middle school or junior high, the same model Oakbrook and Westview have used for years
Schools can also choose to bring Tim in once, or make it a yearly tradition the way Country Trails, Prairie View, and Lily Lake once did.
