This year, The Pro-Kids Show kicked off the 2026-27 school year at Madison Elementary. But that's not the whole story. Madison is just the newest chapter in something that's been building across Wheaton-Warrenville Community Unit School District 200 for years, a tradition, not a one-time booking.
Madison Elementary: Kicking Off a New School Year

Madison's PTA sponsored the show, and it turned into more than just a fun kickoff. Principal Tim Callahan said Madison has had plenty of great assemblies over the years, thanks to its active PTA, but so many teachers came up to him afterward and said this was the best one they'd ever had. Coming from a school with that track record, that's saying something.

Wiesbrook Elementary: Four Visits and Counting
Madison's excitement this year is exactly the kind of reaction that's been playing out across District 200 for a long time. Take Wiesbrook Elementary, where the relationship goes all the way back to 2017.

Since then, Tim has been back four times, each visit with a new show, each one met with the same packed gym and full-crowd energy.

“Tim was great to work with and had complete control of the students. His magic tricks, stories and overall messaging were loved by our students and staff. The staff truly appreciated how he quietly released the students back to class!”
“Tim delivered the perfect balance of fun and meaningful lessons! From Kindergarten through Fifth Grade, he had the students laughing, engaged, and inspired, all while teaching them how to grow into better people from the inside out. His team is professional and helpful throughout the steps leading up to the event. I highly recommend the Tim Pro-Kids Show to any elementary school!”
Dr. Turyna retired at the end of the 2026 school year after 33 years of service to Wiesbrook. He was a big supporter of The Pro-Kids Show, and he always made it a point to make Tim feel welcome, checking in about how effective the show was and how much the kids and staff loved it. Building relationships like that is one of the real joys of this job.

Congratulations on retirement, Dr. Turyna. The tradition you helped build at Wiesbrook is one that's still standing, and it's been an honor to be part of it.
More District 200 Schools Building Their Own Tradition
Wiesbrook and Madison aren't alone. Across the district, Tim has performed school after school, and no two shows look the same.
At Bower Elementary, the show gets built around the Bobcats' own language for good character: BOWER, Be Respectful, Own Your Actions, Work Together, Encourage Positive Behavior, Respect All.

At Hawthorne Elementary, it's “The Hawthorne Way,” the school's own expectations, reinforced from the stage.

Lincoln Elementary has brought Tim back for more than one visit of its own.

Longfellow Elementary had Tim back just eight months after his first visit, this time with an entirely new show.

And Pleasant Hill Elementary put it plainly, right on their own school sign.

Why Schools Keep Bringing Tim Back
It's rarely a one-time booking. Once a school books The Pro-Kids Show, it tends to become something they build a tradition around, an assembly to open the year, a Family Night the whole community shows up for, a show staff still talk about years later. Nine years into District 200, that pattern hasn't changed. Madison might be this year's kickoff, but if Wiesbrook is any indication, it's just getting started.
